You have paved the way for me.

Thank you for supporting the University of Tennessee! The campus mission and spirit are energized with your involvement.

My classmates and I are fortunate to have access to the faculty, facilities and resources supported by generous alumni and donors. As a sophomore in the College of Communication and Information, I am following your path in pursuit of my dream of a career as television news desk anchor in a major market.

This is a career goal I wouldn't have dreamed possible without the support and encouragement of my professors and peers – especially my advisor, Dr. Sam Swan. As a result of Dr. Swan's advice, I plan to complete five internships during my time at UT including one in New York City.

Through amazing opportunities within my college, I have received hands-on experience – including a few on-air appearances – through UT's student TV station, The Volunteer Channel. I also had the chance to meet local news anchor Alan Williams of WVLT and sit in on a newscast. Those exciting moments in front of the camera and behind the scenes make me certain I'm following the right career path.

Your gift can make real-world experiences like mine possible. Alumni contributions sustain scholarship aid, faculty support, technology and academic opportunities outside of the classroom.

On behalf of all of my fellow students, we are grateful for your support. Go Vols!
