Young Alumni

Who Are We?

Welcome back to The University of Tennessee! As alumni of our university, you now have an opportunity to be a part of a new initiative for those graduates from the last decade. Many events and the latest updates about the great things going on around the Knoxville campus are just some of the services you will begin to see during upcoming months from your Young Alumni program.

We occasionally receive questions from alumni asking, "How young is 'young'?" Briefly, the Young Alumni Program is comprised of alumni who graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in the past decade (currently 2001-2011). We're happy to further clarify that definition—just drop us a line at youngalumni@utk.edu.

Our Mission

The mission of the Young Alumni Program at The University of Tennessee is to serve alumni of the institution’s flagship campus in Knoxville through programming, community service, and social opportunities. These opportunities assist alumni in their transition from a collegiate to professional career and engage them for a lifetime relationship with their alma mater.

We encourage you to remain a part of the UT community. It is up to you to determine what your role will be. Whether you stay in Knoxville or move across the country, there is likely a group of UT alums who frequently get together for events such as TV viewing parties or scholarship golf tournaments.

Here are a few of the many opportunities available to you, our recent grads and young alumni:

  • Alumni Socials
  • Community Service
  • Networking
  • TV Viewing parties
  • Volunteer Outreach
